The Next Big Thing will be officially unveiled in India on May 31, 2012. Yes you heard it right. We are talking about Samsung Galaxy SIII.
People at Know Your Mobile India have got official confirmation from Samsung that Galaxy SIII will be launched in India on Tuesday, May 31, 2012.
The launch event will be held in the capital city. The device is up for pre-order on Samsung e-store for Rs 2000.
The beast is powered by Exynos 4 quad-core chip ( clocking a 1.4 GHz), flaunting a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels (306ppi). apart from 8-megapixel primary camera and a 1.9 megegapixel secondary camera
‘Smart Stay’, ‘S Voice’, ‘Smart Alert’, ‘Social Tag’, ‘Direct Call’ and ‘Pop Up Play’ are some of its other features which make for a enhanced user experience.
Samsung has released two video teasers for company’s upcoming next Galaxy smartphone . Company has also launched a teaser website for the phone at thenextgalaxy.com.
Set to be launched on May 3 in London, Samsung Galaxy S III will feature a quad core processor. Other features of the phone are expected to include HD display, Ice Cream Sandwich, and NFC.

Micromax has announced company’s first Android tablet today in the country. The Tablet is named FUNBOOK. It is priced at INR 6499 and will come with Ice cream sandwich out of the box.
The Funbook features 7-inch capacitive display with a resolution of 800x480pixels. Funbook is powered by 1.2GHz processor, 512MB RAM and provides 4GB of internal storage. Micromax has tied up with TATA and is bundling Tata Photon data card, which can be used via USB port on the tablet for connectivity.
Mcromax is targetting at students with this tablet, For this reason, the Funbook comes pre-loaded with e-learning apps. These apps will contain content from various leading publishers in India including Pearson, Scholarshub and more.
