Follow The Calling; Not The Crowd!

Hey there, people! Sorry was not able to put up any post due to my hectic schedule. Almost an end to this month as well so are you guys working on improving yourself? If not, start because it’s never too late.

Follow the calling, not the crowd. Yes, you heard it right! Intuition has always played the most decisive role in the making or breaking of an individual. It’s your intuition that can eventually take you to places but the only condition lies is the ability of the person to trust upon his gut feelings and accordingly produce the desired action. It is therefore very important to learn how to listen to and trust your gut.

The quirky urge, a funny tingle, that little voice in your head. These are your gut feelings talking to you but the question is, what are they telling you? Should you listen to them? And.. the answer is a BIG YES!

These messages which you get from inside can be just silent warnings or reminders and in retrospect, may be right or even wrong. But you must be wondering why I’m quoting a lesson on intuitions?

Probably in a year like 2018 where you have that freedom to turn up your passion into your business, you should know how much your intuitions will help you in raising the bar to generate more income than you could have ever earned. With n number of career options prevailing you must choose to act on the calling you’re destined for and not choose what everyone else is heading to.

You don’t have to worry about what others are planning to choose as their careers neither should you rely on anyone. Surround yourself with people who are so keen on expanding businesses, or in short be friends with the motivated ones. If you’re still unaware of your own self, it’s better to join some programs, talk to yourself and spend some quality time in figuring out what are you actually destined for. It’s the right time to begin the process!

Students out in stress about their career plans tend to follow someone else dreams. You don’t have to worry about what others are planning but rather you should focus your energy and time on realizing what you’re capable of doing and producing. Think about all the good times you want from your life. Believe me, life is very beautiful out there and yet challenging. You just have to wait for your turn and burn the bridge down.

It’s your journey, It’s your hard work, It’s just you at the end who has to finish being productive. Follow your calling, believe in what you have got and if you’re risky enough, try to opt for something which you actually love and not like.

So, ending up with this note – It’s great when things happen the way you plan but you also need to open to all those things unfolding in their own way.

Have a great weekend, y’all!

See you in the next post till then keep smiling and keep reading!

I Am Nearly There..

Another day, another topic and I’m back with something great which will definitely help you in some way or the other. I just want to say a quick thank you from The Parallel Edit and Team to all of you who have been supporting and loving my work. You’ve literally changed my life!

Sometimes, It’s important to remind yourself from where have you started, how long do you have to go on your journey to achieve what you have always wanted and the resources you require to make sure you’re not occupied with stagnation on your path. It’s actually so easy to beat yourself up because you aren’t at the point where you were supposed to be exactly at the time when you started something fresh but trust me, that’s okay.

Like in the last blog post, I had mentioned about the individuals who attain excellent results in their initial months of training but what after 6 months or a year when all those approaches suddenly stop working? That’s where the real process starts.

This weekend I want all of you to focus your mind and energy on realising how far you have come and how close you really are. I want all of you to take a couple of hours free from your busy schedules and reflect on the fact, that how close you actually are on attaining that milestone you have always wished for, how much closer you’re now to your dreams than you were 5-10 years back.

I’m nearly there..

  • Just sit down for a while and think how can you improve. Aggregate thoughts, let them wander your mind for a while and find ways to better yourself in your day to day lifestyle.
  • Trust me, you’re actually just one or two steps away from grooving on to your path. One right decision can actually turn around things for you. Take your steps on the ladder very wisely.
  • You’re just a few steps away from getting everything sorted and lined up. It’s the time to blow the world with your ideas and talents.

After all those months of setbacks, failures, disappointments, messing up, lack of resources and capital to start my own business made me teach many a lesson which simply success and winning can never teach me. Nearly there.. is what I have always used as a mantra to get sorted when things weren’t right. I could actually feel it in my heart that I ain’t that far away.

I just want to conclude here by saying – Keep that craziness within you alive as this will fetch you many a place in your life. Find your 3 hobbies – one to make you money, one to keep you in shape and one to keep you creative!

Like I always say, from The Parallel Edit and Team, I sign off from this article. You’re open to giving your valuable feedback. Shoot me a mail or you can contact me anytime if you’re seeking some help.

Cheers to your success!

Just Breathe!

Hey everyone. How are you all? I hope this year is off to a great start for you!

It’s very easy to join an exercise or gym initially when the progress is very quick when all your results happen to be fast but what after 6 months or a year when all your growth suddenly stops? That’s where the grown-ups are separated from the kids.

GYM, the basic necessity of the modern era, cravings for curves has set levels of competitions, trust me its same like cracking an IIT exam. Achieving the muscularity was never easy, you need to work on a lot many things before you start the journey.

The motivation never comes easy, if it comes then it won’t be staying long, choosing the right method, trainer or influencer is important. Whether you’re looking to take home first place or just want to go faster than the person next to you on the treadmill, friendly competition has some major boosting power. So, a little friendly competition can definitely light a fire within you.

  • MINDSET –

Prepare your mind for the worst, muscles never come easy. When you focus on growth mindset, you embrace all the things that have felt threatening: challenge, criticism and setbacks. When you embrace the tough stuff, you open yourself to fully realize your potential and all that you can be. Instead, depending on the trainer, steroids you should focus on capabilities, strength and discover your own self. Workout with a proper mindset and with the thought that you have to break your own ‘HARD AND FAST RULES’.

  • GOALS –

Goals, both long term and short term are necessary, not only setting a goal but accomplishing them also. Either gaining or losing short goals are basic while setting goals you need to be pragmatic.

Like I always say, analyse and track your progress when in a gym and reward yourself for every achievement you attain. It all starts with a change in perspective. Shift your thinking from couch potato mentality to thinking like an athlete.

Though, it is not easy to just let go of something that you have been following since years. The growth mindset does not allow people to love what you are doing, making this physical activity as a part of life will be life-changing for you, accept it as a lifestyle, not as a burden or a forced job.

Hereby, I would like to quote one example – Wilma Rudolph, 3 gold medal holder in Olympics also was known as world “fastest woman”. Wilma was far from a physical wonder as a youngster. She was a premature baby, the twenty of the twenty-two children born to her parents, and a constantly sick child. At four years of age, she almost died of pneumonia, scarlet fever and POLIO. She almost lost hope of walking properly. Her positive mindset was that which changed her life upside down.

After setting up of a positive and growing mindset choosing the right diet is your next steps, diet is never same for all. Consult an experienced dietitian for the plan.

Because at the end its 50% diet and 50% workout.

Start Before Its Too Late. Sore Today, Strong Tomorrow!

So, that’s all for this article. I hope you had a great time reading this. Always welcome for your valuable feedbacks. In case of any queries or anything you would like to share regarding this article, you can shoot me a mail.

From The Parallel Edit and Team, I would like to thank Sanchi Sapra for helping me out in writing this blog post.

See you in the next one, people!

How To Stay Motivated During Your Exams!

Okay, so boards are around the corner. The clock is running faster than normal and it’s almost time to show your potential on the sheet but firstly, I just want to congratulate and say –  All the best to each and every one of you who are appearing in these board exams. Nervous? Confused? Happens!

Being senior to you and your elder brother, trust me this phase will actually show what you truly are. You’ll get to know yourself well, you’ll be able to communicate with yourself in a better way and those intuitions will definitely strike. You just got to listen to them, believe in them and work hard. Like I always say, focus on your strengths and not your weaknesses.

The time you get between your exams is actually very crucial so make sure you are utilising your time well. Your performance in the exam is directly proportional to what you feed your mind today. You might be a good performer in the whole semester but if you aren’t moving with a positive mental game, you’ll not be able to achieve the standards you have set for yourself. So, having a positive mindset is what you need to focus on apart from your studies.

I have always believed in this one simple principle – ‘The one who works hard will never experience failure.’ The one who expects way too much and doesn’t work up to the bar will never stand a place. So, it’s better to accept what you’re capable of doing, accept your mistakes and rather than leaving them, work on them and improve.

How to study effectively for the exams?

  1. With so much of competition prevailing in the Indian Education System, I have just one simple tip to offer – Meditate as much as you can and then sit for your studies. Don’t let the peer pressure affect your mindset. You don’t have to hurry, you don’t have to run fast as you may get down. Work and run at your own speed, don’t try to act smart and overtake. Believe in yourself, your hard work will determine your success rate.
  2. Time Management is what you have to work on. Not every exam will have 7 days off so prepare your schedule in such a way, that each topic gets sufficient time and priority.
  3. If you’re not a fast writer, practice writing when you’re studying. Eventually, it will help you to enhance your speed and make notes simultaneously will help you to learn fastly.
  4. You have to forget about the marks at this time, as this can build up stress in your head. Focus on working rather than stressing over.
  5. On the course of studying, we usually forget to get our hands on mastering the basics. If you have sufficient time, start with the basics first and then move onto the important topics.
  6. For some maths is really a tough subject to handle, and they plan to polish it at the end. However, it is you who will appear for the exam, whatever strategy you make, stick to it.

In the end, I just want to conclude by saying – Be a Self Motivator, nobody else is going to do that for you. Rather than stressing over, enjoy and work hard in this phase. Believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something in you and that is greater than any obstacle.

All the very best to the students appearing in board exams. Blessings for y’all!

I value your feedback so don’t hesitate to email me with any questions.

Cheers to your success!

Walk On The Vogue Side!

What is meant by vogue? Vogue is defined as the prevailing fashion or style at a particular time. ‘Walk On The Vogue Side’ is the third edition and it’ll be covering my knowledge of ethnic fashion. Ethnic style in fashion is an important, yet somewhat neglected area in our Lifestyle.

Ethnic fashion and wear cover all the Indian traditional category of clothing which is worn by Indian women and men as the sign of their culture. It includes Saree, Salwar Kameez, Lehenga and Kurti for the women and Kurta Pyjama, Sherwani, Dhoti Kurta for men.

I have always believed that clothing tends to have a great impact on our personality. In a country like India, you can easily discover different individuals who wear different outfits of various colours. Even the clothing scenario is diversified but still, you have a choice of either joining the trendy flow or to create your own style statement.

I personally feel western wear gives a freedom of expression whereas a traditional wear allows you to get in that flavour of your culture and traditions.

Yes, the Indian wedding season is here and there are a number of invites lying at home. Everyone loves attending this wedding season because of the food on the primary importance but there’s always one issue and that is deciding what to wear, especially with men.

So, this time rather than a dark or light coloured shirt or tee, I decided to give an ethnic touch to my look. I went up for an olive green kurta-pyjama with a touch of embroidery on it and matched it up with a multi-coloured colour splash waistcoat.

You can expand your style horizon by going for blue or olive green shades. Kurta Pyjamas are highly versatile so experiment with them as much as you can but make sure that your whole outfit is colour coordinated. Used this Red Polka Dot Jaipuri Chunni to enhance the overall look and to add a ‘Shahi or Nawab’ texture to the all over personality in the frame.

So, done with the first outfit now and next, I went up for a plain Khadi Kurta and paired it with a red and black checkered waistcoat with a slight sparkle on its outer adding to an exceptionally different outfit look. A black formal watch with a black aviator will do the rest for your outfit.

I completed this look by adding a dash of colour with a Maroon pocket square which gives a royal touch to the entire look.

So, if you haven’t still decided what to wear for the weddings coming ahead, go for a Kurta Pyjama with a waistcoat so as to provide a feel of Bandhgala to it. Trust me, you’ll be the show stopper!

I hope you had a great time watching my shoot folio in collaboration with Himanshu Ralhan (@fotografia._edition). Check out his work on Instagram on the link –

Please Don’t Settle!

Hey there, my lovely people! So, I know I’m super late this time in delivering a blog post. My Apology. Apparently, was just in a mind block and due to the same reason, was not able to write any content.

I didn’t start The Parallel Edit with the intention of turning it into a business. It began as a Free WordPress Blog in 2017 and that was meant to keep me inspired during a difficult time in my life. It’s not that I have been writing to entertain anyone here but to make sure, how can I get that motivation while living in the ‘demotivated phase of my life’.

I have been enjoying creating content that has seemed to resonate with so many people over all this time and that’s what I want you people to learn – to do something which you actually love and not like.

Don’t settle for less, don’t crave for more.

You know I’m just like you people. Gets easily bored, a risk taker, always colours outside the lines, think with my heart, make a lot of mistakes, hate the rules, believe in working independently but the most highlighting of them all, is I believe in dreaming big.

Create a good picture for a better living.

Start a process. Analyze your growth for the first 6 months. Maybe it won’t work out. Maybe it’s not going to go your way. Maybe, It’s just going to be another stupid idea you try, that doesn’t catch out. Maybe everyone will laugh at your failure but just follow this one simple principle and that is – “Please Don’t Settle!”

Think about it? How much better you would be or precisely, your life would be if you could change the conversation going in your head?

Someone close to me once said, as you get older and wiser as you go on your own journey, you will have to be your own mother, your own father, your own angel and your own teacher and after all this time I have found this true when it comes to communicating with myself.

Settling in failure can never give you a living you have always wanted to build. You have to keep moving, keep grinding in order to find some place and some light in this beautiful world.

Thereby, sharing my few personal tips to stay motivated and these are as follows-

  • Accomplish one thing in the morning, big or small
  • Use the momentum from it to go on.
  • Remind yourself why you’re alive!
  • Make a game out of your challenges
  • Take a photo of the best part that happened in your day
  • Talk to yourself in your free time. Communicating with yourself is necessary!
  • Recognize and show off your progress.
  • Celebrate other people’s success.
  • Be kind, fair and unafraid to speak up!

When you’re faced with a creativity block, what’s your strategy to get innovating? I value your feedback and don’t hesitate in writing me down with your strategies. Would surely love to read them up. Email me with your questions by tapping on the contact category.

Have a great week ahead!

Cheers to your success!

What’s Your Idea Of Change?

Have you ever found yourself to be as thin as a plastic bag drifting away by the wind or have you ever felt being buried six feet down and you’re not able to hear any scream?
This blog post is for you. This blog post is for all those who want to start again. Start, not from where they left, but from where they see the beginning of their next phase. It’s all about our mindset and to be precise, what I believe is that the ‘mindset’ has a key role in our lives, our experiences, everything we do, everyone we meet and what not. But at the end of the day, all we have is ‘ourselves’. It’s in our hands how we choose to see the world, everything and everyone around us.
Every second of every minute of every hour of every day and to the rest of our lives, we do have the opportunity to create something big out of this life, to give our lives a meaning out of all the emotions we go through. Remember the days you prayed for all those things you have now!
Being an entrepreneur and author, I have always seen life with a percept of plateaus and valleys. Here, plateaus refer to the upstream and valleys are downstream and trust me, that’s how each one of our life revolves. Intricate enough? That’s what life is.
Sometimes, we may find ourselves hopeless, less motivated and what not but at the end of the day it’s a strong will, a passionate heart and an ambitious mind which can fight against all the odds coming in the way. So, what’s your idea to bring a change in yourself for the betterment of yourself? Think about it!
For me, a person who stays positive in a negative situation is a winner. Even I have been in the darkest of times. Hopeless, wasn’t motivated enough, wasn’t happy with what was going on around me, felt like a beaten down old horse ready to be put down.
I believe we need to accept that every once in a while we will have that moment of failure or breakdown but we don’t have to be strict on ourselves at such a moment. Adrenaline running down your nerves telling you to run away instead of accepting it and trying for that one last time but it’s just you, just you who has to find the remedy and not the faults.

So, are you ready to bring on that change in you and ready to step into the next phase of your life?

You really can’t solve a problem by using the same kind of thinking you used when you created them. So, it’s the right time for a change. Don’t waste time in feeling sorry for yourself. Embrace the change and welcome the new challenges with open arms.
Believe in finding happiness in small things, but don’t waste your energy on all those things you can’t control. Audacity is what makes a human afraid, as being mediocre is what we have always learned. Break the shell and create a change for yourself and by yourself.
Grow, Develop and Evolve!
I hope you had a great time reading this article. Let me know your ideas as well. Just tap on the contact section and mail me your words at the ID given there.
See you in the next one, my lovely people!

If I ask you to sum up all that happened in your life in just six words, what do you think those words will be? Are you capable enough to define them in just six words?

Firstly, this blog post is for all those who find happiness and a sense of satisfaction in working hard. If you’re looking at improving your insights over and above the hard work that you put in, then you probably will gain substantially from this post. Being an entrepreneur, I have seen people falling hard, stagnate, and some even at their worst stage. For a while, I just had a thought and tried figuring out what actually makes people successful and soon I realised that there is no cookie-cutter approach to being successful.

Trust me, It’s not that tougher as you think. Just a few behaviour changes, some management methods and perhaps a combination of both of them can lead you to your destination.

Success in Seven Words

Is it really true? Here, in this post, I have tried to reproduce connections for your benefit, hopefully, which will make you think better. Let’s find out!

  • See your Goal –

You cannot just expect yourself to reach where you have always wanted to, without having any vision. Like I always say, just sitting there and thinking will not turn that one rupee into those million dollars you have been wishing for. Go out there, express yourself and do something. Arpit, what’s your biggest resource? Your brain. Extract out the information and write down on a piece of paper and start implementing them in sections. The easier you take things, the better will be the flow.

  • Understand the obstacles –

The one who understands his circumstances well, the one who can easily understand his obstacle well will always stand with a head held high and you know why? Some people see obstacles as a puzzle to solve. Some see obstacles as an opportunity to grow. Others see obstacles as threats. Still, others see obstacles as meaning they cannot succeed. Your view of barriers to achieving your goals affects how you react.

  • Create a positive mental picture –

Trust me, our vision is just a series of mental pictures. These pictures are stored as our version of “reality.” We did not intentionally put these pictures in our minds, they were accumulated by where we lived, who we are around and our family values. Try to make them as beautiful as you can and the next step is just your hard work. Are you ready for it?

  • Clear your mind of self-doubt –

Doubting your potential, doubting your inner self will not get you anywhere. It’s worth repeating: self-doubt must be examined if it prevents you from living an enriching life. Cut the negativity within you and shift your mind towards the world full of positivity.

To overcome self-doubt requires affirmative action while being attentive to the inner critic — that is, you take action in spite of the doubt.

  • Embrace the challenge –

Challenges reveal our limitations and strengths at the same time. We are human. We are finite. We are limited. We don’t know everything. And certainly cannot do everything. Challenges offer us a platform to rise above the natural and connect with the Supernatural. Take up the opportunity, analyse the condition of the pitch, analyse the requirement and then play your shot. Don’t panic, the ball will definitely come on to you, you just got to pay attention and take up the challenge with your open arms.

  • Stay on track –

You and only you know, what you’re capable of doing. Nurture your craft well and it will pay you off later in your life. Distractions can get you off but you just have to make sure to stick your leg on the path you have chosen. Focus on fewer goals, plan ahead of your time ( to some extent ), set milestones and don’t forget to track your progress.

  • Show the world you can do it! –

It’s the right time to step forward and choose your own way. Show them what you’re capable of producing but don’t forget to keep away from people who try to belittle you or your ambitions. Small people tend to do that, but the really great one will make you feel that you, too, can become great.

So, as the letters are highlighted above, you can easily make out how easy getting to success is provided with your consistent efforts to make that possible.

Don’t downgrade your dreams to match your reality. Upgrade your faith to match your vision.

I hope you had a good time reading this one. Will see you in the next article!

Live Life On Your Terms!

The life of an entrepreneur just exists between the fine line of being crazy and genius at the same time. In order to be able to live on your own terms, you will have to first align yourself with the goal you’re currently working on, swim upstream, become aware, and not give a shit about what others think as criticism can actually affect the mindset which can lead to a negative impact on your life. The one who understands the circumstances, the one who remembers how hard he/she has fought to be at the position they are currently on, and still stood there after all the grinding, are actually winners. It will always be the hardest times that will make you who you’re today.

Here are just a few quick reminders that can help you in your quest to make your own kind of music.

  • Think about yourself –

Considering yourself on the primary spot is necessary as you’re the one who’ll be going to take the lead further. On every step, keep asking yourself the same question, why me? Question everything. If you accept everything you are told you will be manipulated. Blind trust has caused the world’s greatest miseries. Question the outer world as well as examine your own conscious thoughts and feelings.

  • Don’t care so much what others will think –

Caring so much about others can what make your decisions, imperfect. There is no truth, only perceptions. Block those illusions, only what you think of yourself matters. Work on yourself, for yourself and by yourself. Things will affect only if you allow them to invade. Criticism will be shown at each and every area of your life and that’s where your main job has to be constantly thriving to attain what you have always dreamt of.

  • Find out what matters the most to you! –

If you’re smart enough to channelise your priorities in life, trust me no one can stop you to reach where you have always wanted to. Channelising ourself has to be the most overlooked factor in our lifestyle and that’s where many of us struggle to recognize our strengths. Call it your purpose, your calling or just that what ticks the box for you but please don’t settle. The best resource all you have now is ‘Time’.

My favourite thing in life doesn’t cost any money. It’s really clear that the most important and precious resource all we have is time!

  • Never give up control –

Take charge in every area of your life. Know what you want. Take control. There’s a world of difference between proactive living and reactive drifting. Don’t try to be perfect, just believe in getting better and smarter than what you were yesterday. Never stop learning!

Hire Character, Train Skill!

  • Take responsibility for your own happiness –

Don’t give your happiness and self-worth out of hands.  See yourself as the most important person in your life. This way, by saying I love you to someone else, you are giving something truly valuable instead of just wanting them to fill a gap in your dignity.

Happiness is an inside job. Don’t assign anyone else that much power over your life.

  • Choose your own path –

Road (life) is full of milestones (accomplishments), hoardings (directions) and if one figure out them well, it’s very easy to reach your destination (dream).  It doesn’t matter how fast you travel but what matters is how far you travel. Running too fast can thrash you down, running too slow can lag you behind. Maintain your speed depending on the circumstance, and accordingly, implement your decisions.
