Micromax launches Canvas Doodle 3, 6 inch dual core smartphone for INR 8,500

Micromax has announced the launch of Canvas Doodle 3 in the country. Canvas Doodle 3 has been priced in India at INR 8,500. The smartphone will hit the stores on April 25. The smartphone offers a larger screen at a budget price.

Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 features a 6 inch FWVGA display. The processor on the Doodle 3 is a dual core @ 1.3 GHz coupled with 512 MB of RAM. Doodle 3 runs dated Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. On the imaging front, Doodle 3 is equipped with a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front facing. The phone supports dual-SIM and has got 4GB of internal storage which can be expanded via microSD slot.

This is complemented by an entire eco-system of applications,” said Shubhodip Pal, CMO, Micromax.

Although the specs aren’t good enough but the phone offers a larger screen and lots of freebies. Canvas Doodle 3 will come pre-loaded with apps like Kingsoft Office, Opera Mini Browser, Getit, Marble, Rope Cut and Jelly Jumper.  Micromax is also giving a free flip cover and BigFlix’s six months movie subscription with the phone.
