Celkon has launched yet another budget KitKat smartphone in the country. Dubbed Signature Two A500, the smartphone has a 5 inch FWVGA display at 480×854. It runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat on a 1.3GHz MT6572M dual core processor, Mali 400 GPU and 1GB RAM. Signature Two A500 has got 8GB of internal storage expandable upto 32GB via micro SD slot.

Celkon Signature Two A500 packs a 5MP rear camera w/ LED flash, VGA front facing and a 2000mAh battery. It supports dual SIM, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth. The handset weighs 147 grams and is 9.9mm thick.

Spice Mobiles has announced the launch of two new Android KitKat powered smartphones in the country, Smart Flo Mi-359 and Stellar Mi-451. Both the smartphones come with quad core processors.

Spice Smart Flo Mi-359 is a dual SIM smartphone with a 3.2 inch HVGA display. It has a 1.3GHz quad core processor, 256MB RAM along with 512MB internal storage expandable via micro SD slot.

Mi-359 packs a 2MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera and a 1400mAh battery. This quad core KitKat smartphone Mi-359 has been aptly priced at INR 3,599 and is available INR 2,899 on Spice online store, Saholic.com

CyanogenMod 11.0 M9 Released for supported devices

CyanogenMod team has released the M9 build of CM11 for supported devices. CyanogenMod has announced that this release is the first stable release for Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 tablets and HTC One M8. You can download the build M9 from CyanogenMod or update to M9 from the built-in updater in your CM ROM on your supported device.

Acer has launched a budget voice calling tablet in India, Acer Iconia Tab 7 A1-713. The 7 inch tablet has got a resolution of 1024×600, 1.3GHz MediaTek MT8382 quad core processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage.

Iconia Tab 7 A1-713 runs Android 4.2 Jelly bean (KitKat promised by Acer). It packs a 2MP rear camera, 0.3MP front facing and a 2400mAh battery. The tablet supports micro SD, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and is voice calling enabled.

Google Now Android Launcher now available for all Android 4.1+ devices

Google has made available its Google Now Launcher to all devices running Android 4.1 and above. Google Now launcher was first made available with Nexus 5. Google later made the launcher available in the Play Store but was limited to Nexus and Google Play Edition devices running KitKat.
