Samsung Galaxy S III getting Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update in India

Samsung has started rolling out Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update in India today.The update is available both via Samsung KIES as well as OTA (over the air). The update brings with it TouchWiz improvements. The update is 290 MB in size. We suggest updating vie Samsung KIES.

Touchwiz Improvements in S3 Jelly Bean update:

  • New live camera and camcorder filters like Warm vintage, cold vintage, black and white, sepia, color highlights (blue, green, red/yellow), and many more.
  • Pause and resume while recording video allows users to string together multiple captured video clips.
  • Low light photo mode offers an optimized mode for low light and indoor photos.
  • Users can now easily resize or pause the Pop Up Play picture-in-picture video window.
  • Galaxy S III owners can disable incoming calls, notifications, alarms and LED indicators for a designated period of time.

Samsung Galaxy S II Android 4.0.4 update in India rolling out now

Samsung has started rolling out 4.0.4  Ice Cream Sandwich update for Galaxy S II users in INDIA. This is a great news for Galaxy S2 users who have been eagerly waiting for the update after the 4.0.3 update had Wi-Fi issues and other bugs. The update resolves Wi-Fi connectivity problem among other bug fixes such as Screen Freeze during unlocking.

The update is available vie Samsung Kies Software. To update, follow these simple steps:

  1. Get latest version of KIES software from Samsung website
  2. Install the software
  3. Connect your device via usb cable
  4. Kies will detect your phone and inform you about the update available
  5. Click on update and wait for the update to complete (depending on your internet connection)
Follow the steps carefully and take Backup of your device as files may be deleted during update process. The update is not yet available Over The Air (OTA). Go update now for a better experience and report any bugs that still exist in the comments section below.
